More Film Is Not Dead

Author: Elvee

Hope everyone is fully recovered from Thanksgiving!  We’re definitely looking forward to the holidays and our last wedding of the year–in Mexico City!  Until then we have more weddings to share, plus more photos from the Film is Not Dead workshop.  By the way, you can go here to read my testimonial for this awesome workshop! And without further delay, here are more images from day 1.  This is Elise, who is a photographer in her own right, and her husband Drew, who is a graphic designer and musician.  We started off with sunshine, and then the clouds came, but I was able to get these shots before the real rain came. They were super troopers!

Thanks for stopping by, friends! We’ll be back again soon.

A + J, the wedding

Hi again! Finally starting to catch up on wedding posts, slowly but surely.  We had a fun engagement session with Andrea and Jon at Scripps Pier this summer, and their September wedding came up quick shortly after that!  Their celebration was filled with family and lots of fun.  Andrea comes from a family of all girls, and Jon comes from a family of all boys, so the joining of their families was awesome! Their ceremony and reception at Bali Hai Restaurant was emotional and a joy to witness.

Here’s a few photos from their day.  I love how every bride has a different way of getting ready:

The bride’s flower girl details were the cutest:

And the couple themselves–gorgeous!

A few details from their celebration, too!  Tropical flowers galore, plus it was the place to be if you had a sweet tooth:

We loved this gift from one of their guests:

And finally , congratulations again, Andrea and Jon! Thanks for letting us share in your day. Aloha!

J + L, with aloha

Detouring from the film shots we’ve been sharing, I just wanted to post one of my favorite photos from one of our September weddings.  Thanks, Jennifer and Liam, for sharing your day with us.  Of course, we loved all the little touches of aloha.  Hope to see you in San Diego again soon!

I love the pop of color in their leis against the street background.  Aloha, guys!

(Oh alright, here’s another one, because I loved their flowers so)!
