Vacation souvenirs

Author: Elvee

Earlier in the year we were contacted by a family who’d be visiting San Diego for the first time from Louisiana, and they had a great idea to do a family session while on vacation! We met up at Windansea on an overcast June day.  While we were a little bummed about the gloomy skies, our visitors were loving it! Compared to the heat and humidity of their hometown, they were in heaven. :)

Mom and Dad were high school sweethearts and were naturals in front of the camera.  Their two boys were fascinated by the surfers and other beachgoers and added unpredictable fun to the shoot.  From our session that day, here are a few images we wanted to share with you. Thank you, S Family, for finding us, and we hope to see you in New Orleans someday. Laissez les bons temps rouler…

Finally, wanted to share this outtake, since it has a couple of the surfers by whom the boys were so mesmerized. :)

I can feel Spring coming

Author: Elvee

Living in San Diego, we are definitely blessed not to be buried under snow during the winter.  While we have had some (relatively) cold weather, for the most part we’ve had the usual mild Southern California winter.  In the last few weeks, though, I’ve seen signs of spring peeking through.  A little more green popping up in our garden, some flower buds appearing–all signs that Spring is near!  I’m glad, too, because it is my favorite season. :)

As such, I wanted to share a few images from a recent family session that had a spring-y feel to it!  Here’s to hoping for a quick end to winter so we can get to the lovely spring!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll be posting again real soon. :)

A quick check-in

Author: Elvee

Hi friends! Where does the time go? I have no idea. We’ve been quiet on the blog front lately, but it’s not been for lack of activity.  Just wanted to share a couple of sneak peeks from a wonderful family session a couple of weeks ago.  Baby Harper and her parents were a joy to photograph, and I can’t wait to post more images from our afternoon together, including a lovely four generations shot with Harper, her mommy, grandma & great-grandma! Here are a few now, with more to come!

Who can resist this little face? Not me!
