Earlier in the year we were contacted by a family who’d be visiting San Diego for the first time from Louisiana, and they had a great idea to do a family session while on vacation! We met up at Windansea on an overcast June day.  While we were a little bummed about the gloomy skies, our visitors were loving it! Compared to the heat and humidity of their hometown, they were in heaven.

Mom and Dad were high school sweethearts and were naturals in front of the camera.  Their two boys were fascinated by the surfers and other beachgoers and added unpredictable fun to the shoot.  From our session that day, here are a few images we wanted to share with you. Thank you, S Family, for finding us, and we hope to see you in New Orleans someday. Laissez les bons temps rouler…

Still working backward, going through photos from a little bit earlier to share with you! In April we photographed D + J’s wedding in Poway, CA.  It was a great spring day, and this couple kept us laughing.  Their families were ready for fun, too! A couple of times the bride’s cousins took over the dance floor with some of their moves.  Below, you’ll see a shot Dustin caught when one of the cousins was parallel to the dance floor. Back in May we took a couple of days for a little break in Newport Beach, just an hour and a half north of our home in San Diego.  We spent some time along that part of the coast, checking out Balboa Island, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach.  It was nice to have a couple of days to recharge and get away.  When I look at these photos, I can take a deep breath, reset and go back for a bit.  Here’s to the days of summer!
